East Nashville neighbors Red Door East
September 11, 2008
Food: Hearty bar fare, including a wide selection of hot dogs and brats. But if you're looking for something new and different (or remembered from your time in Knoxville and/or the late, lamented dive The Board Room), try one of the steamer sandwiches. You choose your meat preference (ham, roast beef, etc.) along with cheese and condiments, and the sandwich is steam heated through, leaving the roll soft, yet not soggy, and the filling piping hot. Tremendous.
The damage: Not too outrageous. Area-standard pricing for drinks and food. But because of the comfortable surroundings and neighborhood feel -- you might be tempted to spend too much time (and money), if you're not careful.
Dress code: Whatever you've got on. We've seen everything from frat boy to fabulous in there, and nobody batted an eye.
