Inside: Mad Donna's
Credit:Samuel M. SImpkins
This welcoming east side neighborhood joint is a clean and shiny replacement to the long beloved Radio Cafe, which was housed in the same building. The owners of Mad Donna’s undertook a massive renovation to the vintage building, adding an outdoor patio and sleek upstairs bar and dance floor area.
The place offers lunch, dinner and brunch, as well as a social scene, with weekly dance parties, karaoke and yes, even drag queen bingo.
Not surprisingly, the variety of food and entertainment options at Mad Donna’s attracts an eclectic and culturally diverse crowd. When cruising down Woodland Street, look out for the bright orange awning signaling your destination.
