5 to Try: Local beer
Nothing beats relaxing with a cold beer on a hot afternoon. So why not treat yourself to a locally brewed beer? Domestic beers and those popular ones on commercials aren't the only choices. Nashville is home to breweries, too, so the beer doesn't lose any flavor and still tastes fresh.

Hefeweizen
Where: Yazoo Brewing Co., 910 Division St., 891-4649
Why: This popular summer beer is made with mostly wheat and Hefeweizen yeast. It produces a fruity, banana and cloves scent. Yazoo's version of the German-style beer won a gold medal in the 2004 Great American Beer Festival.
