Tabouli's, a 20-year-old Mediterranean restaurant across the street from Belmont University, closed briefly then reopened in September 2008 with a new owner, new menu and a completely renovated space. The patio is now enclosed, but with six garage doors to open the place up to the breezes in good weather. The menu features Greek, Middle Eastern and Italian dishes. The owners aim to cater to the neighborhood, especially families and students. After 10 p.m., a nightlife vibe kicks in, with hookahs available for smoking.
