From the release: National radio personality and author Delilah showcased 25 original paintings and photographs at the Rymer Gallery in Nashville on Friday evening, October 9, in a first-ever exhibit of her artistic creations, in an effort to bring awareness and funds to her foundation, Point Hope.
Delilah is heard locally on Mix 92.9 (WJXA) in Nashville, 7p.m. to midnight, Monday through Sunday, as well as 225 other radio stations across America and Canada. She is the most-listened-to-woman on radio in America today with some 8.2 million listeners weekly.
The artistic creations are original oil and acrylic paintings, charcoal drawings and large canvas photographs. They were available for sale with proceeds going to Point Hope, a non-profit organization founded by Delilah in 2004 that aims to be a voice for forgotten children.
Among Point Hope's top goals it to liberate, and bring resources to a Liberian refugee camp, consisting of more than 60,000 residents, who live without life's basic needs.
Mix 92.9 FM and the Rymer Gallery organized the charity event, dubbed "The Friday Night Girls (And Guys) VIP Party," with special guest Wynonna Judd.
