Inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999, Twitty had more than 40 No. 1 hits, including Hello, Darlin and Tight Fittin' Jeans. His home and complex, Twitty City USA, drew many visitors to Hendersonville every year. (It's now known as Trinity Music City USA and owned by a Christian cable network.)
