Byrd's Eye View: Equinox Ball
The Phoenix Club of Nashville, a group of young, philanthropic gentlemen, hosted its ninth annual Equinox Ball at The Hermitage Hotel. The lavish event was emceed by Emerald River artist Julia Burton and featured performances from a jazz trio and dueling piano players imported from Silky O'Sullivan's in Memphis. More than a few couples were dancing shoeless by the end of the evening!
A silent auction featured gifts from local businesses, and event sponsor Jack Daniels created a signature cocktail, the "Velvet Elvis," which consisted of Jack and Chambord, especially for the event.
