Byrd's Eye View - Miranda Lambert's No. 1 Party
Industry insiders and famous faces gathered at Sambuca on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010 to celebrate the success of Miranda Lambert's No. 1 song, "The House That Built Me" with songwriters Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin. Released in March, the country ballad is the third single from her studio album "Revolution" and was actually on hold for fiance, Blake Shelton, to record.
“I like to call him my financy,” Lambert joked about Shelton. “I guess after this, I’ll be financing him. Blake, thank you for giving me this song. You could have been selfish and kept it for yourself, but I know you wanted to live."
Lambert’s new single, “Only Prettier,” is already at country radio. Shelton’s new six-track "Six Pak" collection, All About Tonight, hits stores August 10.
