Flashed! Dragon Boat Races 2010
In Chinese culture, the dragon represents alluring, potent powers, particularly over water, rainfall and floods. How appropriate then for the Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association and the Cumberland River Compact to host the 4th annual Dragon Boat Races on Saturday, August 14. Teams of twenty paddlers rowed in perfect unison as a drummer, perched at the head of the boat, kept the pace in a race where even one small mistake could cost you the win.
