Flashed! Yelawolf at Mercy Lounge
Southern rap sensation (and former Antioch resident) Yelawolf had quite the homecoming welcome at Mercy Lounge Tuesday night. The recent Shady records signee was a true showman, rarely pausing to take a breath during his blistering 45-minute set, which featured the cream of the crop from his 2010 album Trunk Muzik 0-60, as well as his turns on tracks by Big Boi and Julez Santana. Shouting along to every line were a few hundred of the most pumped people we’ve seen assembled at Mercy Lounge. It seemed like an exceptional night for Yela, too — he even brought his mom (“Mama Wolf”) on stage to take a photo.
