It’s always sound advice to be yourself…except in the movies, where there can be definite benefits to assuming someone else's identity.
Take the soldier hero (Jake Gyllenhaal) of the new sci-fi thriller “Source Code.” In order to fend off a terrorist threat, he uses newly developed technology to travel back in time in the body of a bombing victim.
As the following examples show, past cinematic “body snatchers” like Gyllenhaal have a variety of good reasons to hop into someone else’s skin, whether it's reconnecting with a loved one or learning a valuable life lesson.
