What will win, what should win and what should’ve been nominated

Best Screenplay Based on Material Previously Produced or Published
Nominees: "127 Hours"; "The Social Network"; "Toy Story 3"; “True Grit”; "Winter's Bone"
What will win: The verbal fireworks in Aaron Sorkin’s “The Social Network” [pictured] script recall the best of his Emmy-winning writing for “The West Wing.” It’s earned Sorkin his first Oscar nomination and an almost certain victory.
What should win: Not even controversies regarding its factual accuracy or depiction of female characters can distract from the brilliance of Sorkin’s “The Social Network.”
What should’ve been nominated: Unfairly shut out across the board in this year’s nominations, the superior technical achievements of Martin Scorsese’s “Shutter Island” sprung from the complex structure and mysterious characters of Laeta Kalogridis’ adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s novel.
