The plot: While it may not be based on a movie out this summer, this gritty crime drama certainly takes cues from the cinema, including such films as “L.A. Confidential” and “The Maltese Falcon.” It was even selected to be a part of this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. Set in 1947, this action game casts you as Officer Cole Phelps, who has to solve a series of crimes as he works his way up the ranks of the LAPD.
