It'd be more than enough for Chris Scruggs to be just one of Nashville's hippest and most reverent classic country hotshots, but give his new disc, Anthem, a spin, and you'll see that we've got a much more broadminded, cosmopolitan talent on our hands. Among its rootsy wash is some seriously Beatles-esque retro-rock jams that Dr. Dog fans could easily get down to.
