Hot Chelle Rae travels 'Thug Story' to 12&P

Plenty of Nashville rock groups have worked with their share of big names, but Hot Chelle Rae might have them all beat with their most recent collaborators: T-Pain and Taylor Swift. Members of the band assisted in crafting "Thug Story," the parody song the pair performed during the opening of the CMT Music Awards last month.

That's not the fairest indicator of the band's upcoming debut album for Jive Records, though. The album's a well-primed slab of electro-tinged pop-punk that shoots straight up the alleys of Metro Station and The All-American Rejects.

Also on the lineup are The Pink Spiders, Sterling Y and Armed Forces.

9 p.m. Sat., July 4, 12th & Porter (114 12th Ave. N., 320-3754), $10
