Hometown players (and visitors) offer up sonic mistletoe
It's that time of year again, when just about anybody with a record deal and an egg nog habit gets to offering their salient take on "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer." As luck would have it, however, many of the folks who live and make music in Nashville (or once lived and made music in Nashville, or just visit here an awful lot) have noteworthy holiday offerings for 2008, from a cache of country stars teaming with the King of Rock 'n' Roll to Tennessee transplant Sheryl Crow's Southern-style holiday collection. Our thoughts on some worthwhile ones follow - one for each of the ol' 12 days of Christmas.
