'Too Fast For Love'

An early photo of Mötley Crüe from 1981, the year they formed and released their first album, "Too Fast For Love": (left to right) bassist Nikki Sixx, guitarist Mick Mars, singer Vince Neil and drummer Tommy Lee. All four were veterans of various other Los Angeles glam and metal bands. Sixx had been part of the band London with future W.A.S.P. frontman Blackie Lawless; Mars was in a band called White Horse; Neil sang with a group called Rockandi; and Lee played drums in a short-lived band called Suite 19 (whose vocalist, Greg Leon, turned down a chance to be the Crüe's singer—d'oh!).
