As the Blue Sky Court, this Fourth Avenue space was dingy and dive-y; reopened as The Rutledge, it's one of the best-sounding, best-looking small venues in town. The aptly surnamed Frank Sass provides that excellent sound (along with some serious 'tude, if you're not behaving) onstage and off, and the folks who play there appreciate the attention to detail (ample places to plug in gear, for starters) as much as the attendees, who're greeted by solid sets from solid (mostly) locals regularly.
