The most excellent aspect about Steak 'n Shake isn't its perfect patty melts (try the Frisco melt with Swiss cheese and tangy sauce) or its Steakburger Sandwiches (a bacon and cheese double is classic). And though its shakes are hand-dipped, its cheddar cheese fries appropriately cheesy and its chili a genuine original, that's still not the top reason to celebrate its existence on this planet. No, my hungry friend, the best thing about Steak 'n Shake is the fact that it's open 24 hours a day.
