This trendy restaurant and nightclub in the heart of the Gulch is part of a small Dallas-based chain. Like an old-school supper club, Sambuca has a stage in the dining room offering eclectic live music nightly. The dinner menu has some creative twists: In the carpaccio appetizer, raw tuna shares a plate with beef. The rack of lamb is one of the best around, moist on the inside with a roasted crust on the outside. Lunch is more standard, with burgers, sandwiches and salads.
