The soups and salads (from $6 to $8) all appear similar to those found on many other menus around town, although all those we tried were superior to most in flavor and preparation.
The French onion soup, served in the archetypal crock and topped with croutons and gruyere, was thick and rich with caramelized onions.
The crab and corn chowder was lush and creamy, served with the soup poured separately over the crab and corn to keep the flavors fresh.
The Asian Chopped Salad, while a touch overdressed, was a wonderful rendition with freshly fried wontons and just the right blend of ingredients.
