Havana Grill dishes out authentic Cuban cuisines
You can get those beans and rice prepared Congris style, with the white rice and black beans cooked together. This is good, but better yet is the yellow rice, steamed in chicken stock, onion and achiote and accompanied by a separate, soupy cup of black beans.
Fried plantain chips go perfectly with the Mambo King of sandwiches, the Cubano. Havana Grill's version is massive, a happy marriage of roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickle and yellow mustard, all layered on Cuban bread and grilled in a plancha, a panini-like press. Muy sabroso. ($7.99)
