Trisha Yearwood's home cooking
Country star Trisha Yearwood started compiling a cookbook of family recipes with her mom and sister in 2006, but the platinum-selling singer didn't see the effort as anything more than a family bonding project that fans might pick up on her website.
Today, she, her mother Gwen Yearwood and her sister Beth Yearwood Bernard are two-time best-selling authors. The first cookbook, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen: Recipes From My Family to Yours (Clarkson Potter, 2008) was on the New York Times Bestseller list for six weeks. The second, Home Cooking: Stories & Recipes to Share With Family & Friends (Clarkson Potter, April 6, $29.99) also made the list six times.
