Belmont University's magnificent Troutt Theater was created to provide not only an intimate setting for the Dance and Theater Department at Belmont, but also to host the arts culture of the Greater Nashville area. The majestic pseudo-Greek Revival structure that stands proudly along Belmont Boulevard was named for Bill Troutt, former president of the university, and his wife, Carole. The 350-seat proscenium theater features state-of-the-art lighting and sound and a well-equipped stage that can handle the most complex productions.
